Personalized 50th Anniversary gift present a Myrtle wood heart wall hanging
This is a Myrtle wood wooden Heart wall hanging personalized 50th Anniversary gift present. What an amazing any occasion gift present!! I am Gary Burns the treewiz and I carved everything in my shop. I can Personalize it on the back, if it is simple like a short sentence and date there is no extra charge. It comes ready to hang. There are portions of the outside edge just under the bark on the lower right near the tail. I love the contrast. The colors on this piece of Myrtle are amazing! There was a natural hole in the center of this piece so I went ahead and cut a heart shape out. I then carve out the back so that the heart void really pops!
It measures 20 1/2" tall x 18" wide x 2 1/4" thick.
Hearts are Love's symbol. I carved this heart out of a piece of Myrtle wood that grows in my neck of the woods, in Southern Oregon. There is some unique figuring in the grain of this piece. Myrtle Wood is a very unique wood only growing in Oregon and around the Mediterranean. There are fun little Myrtle Wood Shops all over Western Oregon. The wood has a wonderful, unique sort of spicy scent. I love working it. There is no smell now as it has been finished to hold the smell in. This piece is spalted. That's when the fungi started working the wood over. Once a piece is dry there is no more spalting. The fungi go dormant and don't get going again unless the wood is immersed in water. A friend brought me pieces from a tree that him and his father had pulled out of the Elk River more than 30 years ago. This wood is very special!! : )

It is flat on the back so it hangs on the wall. I have attached a metal self leveling hanger on the back for hanging and I signed Wiz on the back as well.
Hearts represent Love and Acceptance. It would make an amazing gift for anyone or be a well deserved gift for oneself.

Care instructions
All of my carvings have a lacquer finish. Dusting with a feather duster or blowing off with a compressor is all that is necessary on the carved trees, fish and carved faces. I use Orange oil on the smooth surfaces. This will perk them up. I would do it as often as you polish your furniture. Once a month would keep them looking great but is not necessary.
When will I get my purchased carving?
I will contact you as soon as I get your order. I will package it that day or the next. I take it to the Post Office the next morning. If I get an order on Friday afternoon, Saturday or Sunday it will be in Monday mornings mail.
How will my carving be shipped?
I use Priority United States postal service mail.
Do you ship outside of the US?
I do ship outside of the US. I need to know the carving that you are interested in and your complete shipping address. I will figure what it costs to ship to your address and make the changes to the listing so that you can make the purchase.
